Positive: The staff are always welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to help make the stay as comfortable as possible. It is unusual these days to meet with such professionalism and each member of staff seem to enjoy their work and are very committed to representing the Hotel in its best light. I /We stay here regularly as visiting my elderly mum in a Care Home and have stayed in various twin or double rooms. Some are a little dated and could do with modernisation or a little colour brought into the rooms. All are very BROWN, including bath/shower rooms, which makes it look old fashioned and very dark. The rooms, which are large, could benefit from installing a small fridge. The bathrooms could be made safer by installing hand rails to climb in and out of the bath( I almost fell this week, so requested a walk in shower). Rubber bath mats are provided, but again dated and look old and faded, so you could be put off using them. I understand Aston Hall has been taken over by a new developer and work has already begun on both Darcy’s and Byron’s restaurant and bar. These looks very chic now. The food I’ve experienced has always been excellent and presented with attention to detail. Perhaps a few more lighter options could be added, but that’s just my preference as I like choice on light bites. Staff in the bar and restaurant are very well presented, professional and most importantly always have time to engage with the customers. Hence it feels very hospitable and homely. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, they are “ the icing on the cake”and that’s what makes us revisit Aston Hall time and time again.

Negative: I think I said it all above;- * update the bathrooms and rooms *Add safety bars to the bathrooms * Brighten up the rooms , especially carpets( brown) which look very drab. * Install fridges in all rooms.
