One of Dublin’s main shopping hubs is O'Connell Street (and its tributary, the ever-busy Henry Street), which culminates in a spearhead of excellent museums dotted around Parnell Square (most notably the Hugh Lane Gallery). To the west of here is the up-and-coming Smithfield and, further still, the vast Phoenix Park (also home to Dublin Zoo) while just across the bridge to the south is the formidable campus of Trinity College, with its ancient claim to fame in pride of place in the Old Library & Book of Kells. You have everything at your doorstep in the city centre and there's an exciting mix of cultures and ideas to cater for every whim you might have. The 747 Airlink Express Bus runs direct from the Dublins central bus station (BusAras) which is just a short walk from the apartment, and costs €10 return. Alternatively, you can take a 20-30 minutes taxi that will cost roughly €20-€30, depending on traffic. If you prefer public transport, take the 700 Aircoach from the airport to the O'Connell St stop; a return trip only costs €14. The property is only a short walk from this stop. If arriving by train, the apartment is located close to Connolly Station, so you will not be far from your front door! The DART and LUAS (Dublin's light rail systems) also stop at Connolly station, and it is a short 15 minute train to Dublin's beaches and beautiful cliff walks. Being so central, most of your journeys can be made by foot. If you would prefer using public transport, you will also have easy access to several bus routes on O’Connell street. Pick up a Leap card from a local newsagent or Connolly Station and you will be able to use all public transport across the city while you are here. Alternatively, you will find a Dublin Bike stand on O'Connell St. Dublin Bikes are a fantastic way to explore the city, a 3-day pass costing only €5, with bike stations throughout the city. ## Notes There is no elevator in the building
