To the outside is ample off road parking and a large enclosed lawned garden and gravel area to rear of property. Summary: The cottage is very cute and gives the experience of an authentic Irish country cottage however it wasn’t as tidy as a renter should expect and we had issues with the hot water and radiator heat the entire time of our stay. We addressed the issues with the owner and he tried to rectify the hot water and heating but we never had consistency the entirety of our stay. We also brought up the tidiness issue right away, we cleaned up ourselves, and he said he would address it with his housekeeping person. Also it is advertised as being an 8 minute walk to shops, pubs and restaurants, a big part of the appeal for us. In actuality that walk is on a very narrow, busy road with little space on either side to actually walk. On a positive note, there is a lovely fireplace in the living room that kept us cozy in that room with plenty of fuel. The owner, Gerrid, tried to help us with our issues and gave us lots of good suggestions of things to do in the area. He also purchased a coffee maker for the kitchen when we inquired about one.
