Positive: Location is everything- from Teach Roisin, we were able to walk many of the peninsula's beaches and coastal points, hiked hills, including Sliabh Snaught, Bineveneagh (AONB NI Derry), visited Glenevin Waterfalls, Nancy's Barn for chowder, and all the surrounding villages en route, Antrim's Causeway, Derry's City's Walls and the Bogside. But to return each day and have 'a home from home' was the unexpected added bonus to our holiday, welcoming, cosy, warm, and boasting of every facility to make our evenings and nights a joy to prepare for the next 'Inishowen' adventure. My wife even concluded that washing up at the kitchen sink no longer became a chore when taking in the view of the ocean and coastal landscape in the foreground.

Negative: You have no control over the Irish Weather, much less out on a peninsula on the edge of the European continental shelf facing the Atlantic ocean.

Summary: The word gem can be overused in reviews but in this case, the exception becomes the norm.
